Bronze Age (prehistoric)

The bronze age was the period from around 2300 BC to 700 BC In Merseyside there is evidence that areas of land were cleared to be farmed in this period, perhaps because the climate was changing and more land was needed.

Bronze age hunting tools have also been found in Merseyside.
