Frankby

PLACENAME: Frankeby (first mentioned 1230). Frankl's or Franki's village, Old Norse personal name and býr. Alternatively Frenchman's farm. Fraunkbi 1346; Fraunkeley 1421.

Frankby Cemetary chapel

Frankby Hall (1847) was itself a rebuild of an earlier hall on the site. The site is now occupied by the chapel of Frankby Cemetery.

Hill Bark

Hill Bark (1891) by Grayson and Ould was rebuilt in 1929-31 by Rees and Holt. It is timber framed on a stone base. It is now used as an old people's home.
