PLACENAME: Little Woolton: Uluentune (first mentioned 1086 in the Domesday Book). Wulfa's enclosure. From Old Scandinavian personal name Wulfa and tün. Woolton seems to have been divided as searly as c1190, when Little Woolton is described as Parua Wolton.
