About this object

View of George's Dock, Liverpool. Mainly a view of the sheds, quays and warehouses with the dock full of vessels on the left hand side of the image. Shows carters moving goods and other people. Some of the ground and vessels are covered in snow. There is a sign in the image for the George's Landing Stage. Dated to around 1874. The glass is cracked along the top, but the image is still clear.
