The Pig and Whistle is Covent Garden off Chapel Street, it’s there (indicates on a map). It’s all on its lonesome now; the area beside it is yet another demolition site car park. I don’t know whether anybody’s mentioned but during the period when so much demolition was occurring, the pubs very often remained because they were separately owned and therefore they couldn’t buy up from X landlord and demolish, so there’s a pub sticking up.
