The only still standing building in this whole area where the bombs had hit was our hardware warehouse which stood up like a sore thumb and you could see obviously from Burnyeats all the way across the gardens to Coopers corner. There was nothing in between except Telegraph House because Lord Street was simply a facade, the rebuilding was only one deep onto Lord Street.
