Transcript for Ken Martin
Well the Lime Street area had cinemas in it and we used to go the Forum. Then there was another one called the Palais De Lux which had a great stainless steel sculpture on the outside of it of a cinematographer. Down the side was the Palais De Lux, more modernist, it was a post-war design. On it was a huge, probably three metres square stainless steel sculpture of a cinematographer, a projectionist sculpture. I don’t know where it went; it was a lovely piece, very modern. Then there was another one opposite, so that was the cinema quarter really.
