Now this was a very very popular place. Going around towards Owen and Owens, that was right on the corner, a continuation of Church Street going round to Clayton Square. That was about three floors. It had a shop on the ground floor, it had a restaurant on the first floor and on the third floor it had the tea dances and we used to go there, tea dancing. They had a band there which was great. It must have been about 19, let me see. It must have been early 1950s, I should think, because I remember my father coming in and pulling me out because I was too young to go, and shouting at me and I was terrified.
