Transcript for John Quirk - cake shop
When I was an apprentice in Oxford Electric, which was in cambridge street off Oxford Street, the apprentices used to have to go down and get cakes in the afternoon. And one of the places we went to was Kirkland and Jennings and that was a big cake shop, good quality cakes and now, I think it's a bar now, I think it's called Kirkland's. There was a few of these shops round the city, there was one in Aigburth Road I can't remember where the others were, but there was good quality confectionary, you know, good.
