Metal nameplate from Titanic's lifeboat number 4

nameplate reading 'SS TITANIC'

This nameplate was recovered by RMS Carpathia’s 20 year old quartermaster Mr John James Kirkpatrick from one of the 13 lifeboats from Titanic which were taken on board the rescue ship.

He deposited it with National Museums Liverpool in 1966.
