Edward Kyle was born in Liverpool, Lancashire, England, on the 12th April 1871, the son of Edward and Agnes Kyle of 31, Thames Street, Toxteth, Liverpool, Lancashire. He was unmarried.
For some reason, he served as an able seaman under the name of T. Robins, in the Deck Department on board the
Lusitania and was killed when she was lost. His body was not one of those recovered and identified afterwards. He was aged 44 years.
As a consequence, he is commemorated on the Mercantile Marine Memorial at Tower Hill, London.
