Nothing is known about Trimmer A. Trainor, except that he appears in a list of crew known to have been on board the
Lusitania when she was sunk, which was published by the Cunard Steam Ship Company on 1st March 1916.
According to this list, he was a trimmer in the Engineering Department and he was killed when the liner was torpedoed and sunk and his body was never found and identified afterwards.
However, there is no evidence to support the fact that he was killed, as he does not appear in the records of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission at all, or in a list of crew discharged alive or dead, after the sinking!
As such, he has no official memorial, and may not have been killed, if, in fact, he was on the ship at all!
