Body suit filled with cocaine

A drug smuggler hid more than six kilos of cocaine inside this handmade body suit. It belonged to a young Bulgarian female smuggler who wore it under her clothing. She is now serving over 13 years in prison.

She was among a group of eight smugglers on board the MSC Orchestra cruise liner in 2010. They joined the cruise in Brazil, occupying four luxurious cabins. UK Border Force Officers searched their cabins at Dover assisted by a sniffer dog.

Body suits filled with cocaine were inside suitcases in each cabin. Handwritten details on each suit revealed the smugglers name and the number of concealed drug pellets. Officers recovered 35 kilos of cocaine valued at nearly £5 million.
