Two brass White Star Line houseflag emblems from a Titanic lifeboat

brass flag emblems with a star on each one, on wooden mounts

These two brass White Star Line houseflag emblems are from one of the Titanic’s lifeboats. They were acquired as souvenirs by 20-year old Able Seaman A Morgan, who was serving on RMS Carpathia, the ship that rescued all of the Titanic survivors.

These emblems, with the name ‘Liverpool’, the ship’s port of registry, are believed to have been fixed to the sides of Titanic’s boats.
