National Museums Liverpool Logo - instructions for use

Print formats

  • The National Museums Liverpool logo is intended to be used in black and Pantone Reflex Blue. It may also be reproduced 'white out' on a background colour or image, or black (mono) depending on the nature of the layout to which it is to be applied. The logo cannot be used in any colour other than that in which it is supplied without the written permission of National Museums Liverpool.
  • In all instances the word 'Liverpool' and the box behind are to remain solid.
  • The words 'National Museums' must always be either black or white depending on the background colour.
  • The logo is to be reproduced at 60mm in length on an A5 or third A4 page; 90mm on A4; 120mm on A3 and 180mm on A2 etc.
  • The National Museums Liverpool logo should be positioned in the bottom right hand corner of the page, its own height from the bottom and right hand edges of the page.
  • If the logo is placed on a solid background (other than white) there must be sufficient contrast between the logo and the background colour or tint.
  • If the logo is resized care should be taken to ensure that the logo text remains legible and proportionate.
  • The logo is only available in a linear format and cannot be altered or reshaped in anyway.
  • You cannot create a frame or border around the logo.
  • The logo should stand clear of other content with a space, the depth of the logo itself, around the logo.
  • These guidelines only apply to the main National Museum Liverpool logo, and not to any project logos.

Digital formats

The logo may also be used on websites, powerpoint presentations and other digital formats, again only with our express permission. The above guidelines should be followed for digital use (where applicable) with the following additions.

  • Minimum size - 200 pixels wide. If the logo is resized from that supplied it must remain proportionate. The size (and position) of the logo should be equivalent to that of other organisations who have provided similar levels of support or had similar involvement in a project.
  • For accessibility purposes it is recommended that alt text is used with this logo
  • If the logo is resized or compressed care should be taken to ensure that the logo text does not pixellate and remains legible.
