RSS feeds

What is an 'RSS feed' ?

An RSS feed is a way to keep up to date with the latest information from a particular website, without having to actually visit the website to see what has changed. An 'RSS Feed reader' can visit the site automatically for you and alert you when the site is updated with new information.

How do I use an RSS feed ?

You will need an RSS feed reader (or aggregator). This is a piece of software which will check the website regularly for updates. These can be online (accessed via your web browser) or a downloadable application that you install on your computer. See wikipedia's entry on RSS feed readers

Identifying an RSS feed

Look out for the RSS feed logo, RSS feed logo which should help identify content that is available as an RSS feed.

Mediacentre feeds

You can also subscribe to an RSS feed of press releases with a common tag. Simply choose a tag from the tag cloud on the press release search page using the 'subscribe' link underneath the tag cloud.
