Bright Park Revisited
The Museum of Liverpool’s archaeologists are working with Liverpool Lighthouse gospel church to investigate the history of Bright Park, Knotty Ash.
The church are the custodians of Bright Park, which was formerly the site of Thingwall House, home of the Brights, a mercantile family. Liverpool Lighthouse plan to bring the site back to life for the community of Knotty Ash.
As part of that process the Museum of Liverpool team will assist in the historical research into the house, the park, and the people who lived and worked there. We will undertake a geophysical survey of the site, and will use that to guide plans for an archaeological excavation.
More information about this exciting project and how you can get involved will be available soon on the Bright Park website.
