Rock-cut gulleys provide evidence for structures

A watching brief on this small housing development found evidence for one of the only excavated early medieval houses on the Wirral, probably dating to the 12th to 14th century AD.  Although the remains of the house were very fragmentary, our archaeologists were able to piece together its ground plan.
