This car was displayed in the atrium after it was donated to the Museum of Liverpool in September 2012 by Jaguar Land Rover. It continues the run of cars donated to the museum that were manufactured at the former Fords factory in Halewood. The first Ford Anglia off the production line at the factory can be seen in The People’s Republic gallery on the second floor.

The car is a pre-mass production version of an Evoque Coupé. It is number 29 of a series built before the car went into full production.

It has a 2.2 litre diesel engine (190hp) with 20 inch alloy wheels and a maximum speed of around 124 miles per hour. It has left-hand drive as 80% of these cars are manufactured for the export market.

The car will be preserved as an example of a state-of-the-art vehicle from the early 21st century.
