Over the summer in 2013 a special flock of rubber ducks made the Museum of Liverpool their home in the name of charity.
Hundreds of rubber ducks went on display in a big display case in the Atrium, ready to take to the water in the annual Claire House Children’s Hospice Sponsored Duck Race on 21 September 2013.
The race saw 40,000 sponsored rubber ducks bob along the Leeds-Liverpool Canal starting next to the Museum of Liverpool at the Pier Head. Visitors to the Museum of Liverpool were able to sponsor a duck in the race for £2, with all proceeds going to Claire House.
The ducks are returning to the Museum of Liverpool for summer 2014 - see the details of Radio City’s Liverpool Duck Race for 2014.
