Join in celebrations to mark the Hindu festival with activities and performance for all ages at the following times:
1-4pm Arts and crafts: Learn about Diwali by taking part in the rangoli craft workshop, get your hand painted with henna ink or try on some traditional costumes!
1.30pm and 3pm Storytelling: Children from Liverpool’s Hindu community will be telling the story of why we celebrate Diwali, brought to life with drama and dance.
2-3pm Diya craft workshop: Make and decorate traditional clay pots for diya lights, which are lit during Diwali to signify good triumphing over evil.
The new display of Hindu statues, kindly donated to the Museum by the Liverpool Bengali Hindu Association can also be viewed at the Atrium.
