Over the summer in 2014 a special flock of rubber ducks made the Museum of Liverpool their home in the name of charity.
The rubber ducks were displayed in the Atrium, before they took to the water in Radio City’s Liverpool Duck Race.
The race on 20 September 2014 saw 40,000 rubber ducks bob along the Leeds-Liverpool Canal starting next to the Museum of Liverpool at the Pier Head. Visitors to the Museum of Liverpool were able to sponsor a duck in the race for £2, with all proceeds going to Claire House.
As well as taking over the Atrium display case, eight ducks also waddled their way into other areas of the museum and visitors could follow a special trail to find them.
