This image of Florence, George and Gertie Rollo is one of 121 images featured in an ornate photograph album which was presented to the Mayor and Mayoress of Bootle (Alderman and Mrs Howard) as a memento of a children’s fancy dress ball held at Bootle Town Hall, 23 December, 1887.

The Rollo family lived in Waterloo Park in a large house called ‘Stone House’ and had four servants.
