Doddy's Back © Mike McCartney "Before they knocked it down to build the new, impressive Floral Pavilion in New Brighton, I asked Ken Dodd if I could cover his farewell concert for posterity. 'Of course young man' came the reply. This image was taken in the wings of the grand old Floral, with Doddy sneaking a view of fellow comedian Norman Collier doing his act on stage."

Where's Ya Bin? © Mike McCartney. "I have a pet theory that Liverpool wheelie bins are purple for a reason. If they were Red... Everton FC fans would empty their hot coals in, and if they were Blue... vice versa! But the main point of this fotie is to show the natural, impossible to suppress, Liverpool sense of humour ... thank you Flat 3."

All You Need is... Liverpool © Mike McCartney. "After a rip-stonkin' performance at Anfield for the 2008 European Capital of Culture celebrations (joined by Dave Grohl, the Zutons, Kaiser Chiefs, Peter Kay, and 35,000 crowd) our kid finally gives in! and waves goodbye to a delighted audience ...half of whom were our family!"
