Meet the Leasowe Man
Leasowe Man is the name of the skeleton found at Leasowe on the Wirral, not far from Liverpool. He lived in
Leasowe at the same time as the Romans.
However, we wanted to know what Leasowe Man looked like when he was alive so we asked experts from the
University of Manchester to 'reconstruct' Leasowe Man's face. From the shape of the skull the experts can work
out what the man looked like, and use clay to build the complete face.
You can see the finished reconstruction at the Living With The Romans exhibition. However, if you can't wait
that long you could try and guess what he looked like.
