Further biographical research into the King's Regiment

How to request further information from the World War I database

National Museums Liverpool does not hold service records about individual soldiers.

After using the search form to confirm that an individual is in the King's Regiment World War I database, you can request further information from the creator of the database, who provides this service in a private capacity. This is an external service that is not administered by National Museums Liverpool.

Please note that this service is not currently available and will not be until late summer 2008. Details of how to request further information will be available on this website when the service resumes.

There is an administration fee for this service, starting from £3, which may increase up to a maximum of £20 depending on the volume of information. All funds raised by this service will be donated to the King's Regiment Trust, a charity, to help with preserving and expanding the collections.

When you request information from the King's Regiment database please remember to include as much information as possible in order to help process your enquiry, including the following information (if known):

  • the soldier's reference number provided in the results table
  • their name and rank
  • any other relevant information

2nd Lieutenant Richard Owen Jenkins, seated, between 2 other soldiers of the 5th King's Regiment during the First World War. A note on the reverse reads 'A few days leave somewhere in Flanders ROJ in centre'.
