my great grandad was in the war and we have learnt about it in school and it was scary.
I REMEMBER BEING IN A AIRRAID SHELTER WHEN THE BOMBS WERE FALLING,
i was in the war i was only a child i am 78 now and i can remember the devestation of seeing the amount of damage to to houses and shops i luckily survied threw it
WE HAD TO MOVE TO WALES BECAURSE OF BOMBS I MISSED MY MUM AND DAD
My Mother of 91 would talk about going to the air raid shelter and returning home to a flatened street
my grandad was in the war so i wanted to share his memory

in the war my street was bombed and i am glad i live there now because it has history and in some pubs in bootle it has a picture of my street in the war. x
i lost my grandad in the war my mum told me and now i go and visit his grave RIP grandad
