Kingsmen have been involved in many overseas 'tours of duty' since the Second World War. Their recent service as the King's Regiment and later, as the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment in Iraq and Afghanistan has seen a substantial rise in casualty numbers.

This desert kit was used by John Earle in Iraq in 2004. John has been a member of the Territorial Army for more than 20 years and served as Operations Room watchkeeper during his six month tour based in Basra.
