Holly Johnson's 'Dunbar suit', 1993
The Wondrous Place gallery is closed from 8 January. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Holly Johnson played bass with cult Liverpool band Big in Japan before finding fame with Frankie Goes to Hollywood. Worldwide chart success allowed ample time for Holly to display his extrovert dress sense.
This suit was designed by Vivienne Westwood. It used to be on display in the Wondrous Place gallery, but you can currently see it in the Tales from the city exhibition, on the first floor of the Museum of Liverpool.
