Liverpool Blitz: 6am

On city centre streets homeless people and exhausted emergency services staff gather around catering vans. Women volunteers are handing out tea and hot meals. The food is warmly received, as are the smiles, kind words and occasional jokes. Everyone begins to realise just how tired they are, and thoughts turn to finding shelter for the day and coming night.
