Liverpool dancehalls like the Grafton and the Rialto are packed with young, single people. Many are servicemen, taking advantage
of the free entry for uniformed personnel. They are surrounded by friends and family, happy to see them while on leave from the
services.
It will be another year before the popular American soldiers will be seen in Liverpool's clubs.
