Welcome to the final of the 100-metre swim for fish, where the speed freaks of the sea come fin to fin.

Which is the fastest fish over 100-metres? Just click on each competitor to read the racing form, and then select the fish you think will be the Goldfish medal-winning competitor.

If you need a closer look, click on the magnifying glass for a larger image (opens in a new window).

Mackerel

This little guy is one of the 'in' crowd, and a few thousand of his close friends are here to cheer him on. He has a good chance in this race, if only he can avoid being eaten!

Sea Horse

The crowd's favourite, this quiet little filly is the smallest fish in the race, but makes up for that with a lovely swimming action.

Shark

The crowd has been booing this fish - he's got a bit of a bad reputation but is mostly misunderstood. He cruises the sea, hunting and eating other fish, including some of the other competitors!

Monkfish

Not much is known about this competitor - she tends to lay low. She's big, ugly and has a strange fishing rod sticking out of her head. Hope she doesn't frighten the other competitors with that thing!
