Meet new people and explore museums at 'In the City' events
Museums and galleries make fascinating places to meet new people in beautiful and interesting surroundings. National Museums Liverpool held a programme of 'In the City' events at several different venues between 2004 and 2006.
These popular occasions provided an opportunity to meet new friends in a relaxing and informal space, with private
tours of exhibitions and the permanent collections with our friendly expert staff.
Entertainment included quizes, music and dancing. At the salsa and swing dancing demonstrations guests even had the opportunity to learn a few moves themselves.

"I had a really good time at the Singles night, it was the very first one I had attended and I was absolutely terrified. I wanted to thank you for having such a good idea and for making it such a relaxing atmosphere.
I also wanted to let you know that I met someone at the evening. I was stunned!! and still am. We are both very happy, thank you very much, if it hadn't been for you we would never have met so we really do owe you one."
