Locarno handbill, 1963

Some very lucky people who attended this event at the Locarno in 1963 can now claim that the Beatles were their Valentines! They had to share them with at least 500 ladies, but most fans of the band probably wouldn't have minded that at all.

The text on the handbill reads:

'Locarno Liverpool

Other romantic objects in the collection relating to the Beatles include the 'All You Need Is Love' bedspread, from John Lennon and Yoko Ono's Montreal 'Bed-In For Peace' in room 1742 of the Queen Elizabeth Hotel, Montreal in 1969.
