This papier mache figure of a shoe shine boy and box at Lime Street Station, Liverpool was made by Miss Mary Morgan Lloyd. Mary modelled a series of 24 of these figures on real people she saw and drew sketches of during the 1940s. She kindly donated this collection of ‘Liverpool Street Crys’ to the Museum of Liverpool in 2002.
