Sport

Most people associate Liverpool with the two sports that it is most famous for, football and horse racing. However, as these sports-related items from across National Museums Liverpool's collections show, there is a much wider sporting tradition in the city and on the ships that sailed from here.

Online exhibition

This online exhibition is the only place where you can see the following sports-related items gathered together. All of the objects represent different areas of the varied collections at National Museums Liverpool's eight venues. Some of the items shown are either delicate or light-sensitive, so they are not usually on public display.
