Stewart Bale 2.0 - documenting Liverpool

Ian Jackson edits the Art in Liverpool website and blog, providing the most comprehensive coverage of visual arts and culture in Liverpool available online (or off). Ian uses Flickr sporadically to host galleries of images from events featured on the blog.

The original photo of the Philharmonic Hall was taken in 1939, the year it was opened. The building was designed by Herbert Rowse, replacing the 1849 original that had been destroyed by fire in 1933.
