Two wine glasses, with cut and wheel-engraved decoration

Made in England, about 1760-70

These two wine glasses, from a set of twelve, are both decorated with typical Chinoiserie scenes. Both depict a man in traditional Chinese costume, set in an Oriental landscape with a pagoda, a tower or temple with a number of storeys, in the background.
