Tea service

Teapot, jug and sugar box, jasper ware, made by William Adams, Staffordshire, about 1787-1805

William Adams made his own versions of Wedgwood's famous blue jasper wares. They included many useful domestic items such as this tea service. It has been decorated with applied Classical figures. Each piece is engine-turned at the base.
