Elegant vase with a small narrow flange.

Stoneware, made by the Doulton Pottery and Porcelain Company, Lambeth, South London, 1906

Like the Della Robbia and Ruskin potteries, Doulton also experimented with coloured glazes around 1900. This stoneware vase, with its mottled red flambé glaze is typical of what they produced.

Purchased, 1906
