ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
(1) Defrance was in Paris at the outbreak of the French Revolution in July and returned to Liège after revolution broke out there in August 1789.
(2) The executors were a Nottingham-based firm of solicitors, Hunt, Dickens and Willat, who were subsequently taken over.
(3) Rock Park Hotel, built in the 1880s, was one of the grandest hotels in Llandrindod Wells until its demolition in the 1990s.
