A View on the River Dee

Paul Sandby,

WAG 931

About this object

'A View on the River Dee' does not seem to represent an actual view of the river. It is probably an idealised scene created by the artist.

Sandby first went to Wales between 1769 and 1770, but 'A View on the River Dee' is probably a fairly late work.
