Donor of important watercolours in the Walker Art Gallery collection

Mrs Eliza Jane Brocklehurst (died around 1923) is the former owner and donor of a number of works in the Walker Art Gallery collection. These works include 'A Wayside Inn' (WAG 1006) by John Varley (1778 - 1842), 'North Porch of Chartres Cathedral' (WAG 1075) and 'The Arch of Constantine' (WAG 1074) by Samuel Prout (1783 - 1852). All of these works were bequeathed to the Walker in 1923.
