William T Annis

English mezzotint engraver, active between 1798 - 1812

William Annis was an English mezzotint engraver of decorative subjects, landscapes and portraits after his contempories. Little is known about Annis other than that he produced engravings after Francis Wheatley (1747 - 1801), James Ward (1769 - 1859) and John Opie (1761 - 1807). He exhibited at London's Royal Academy between 1798 and 1811 and engraved two plates for Joseph Mallord William Turner's (1775 - 1851) 'Liber Studiorum'.
