The sounds of Liverpool Community Choir will fill the air. They will explore Light Night's theme of time through a repertoire of songs that have a retrospective and anticipatory nature.

Liverpool Community Choir became an independent choir and charity in 2010, after previously being The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Community Choir. The seventy plus non-auditioning choir has members from throughout Merseyside of all ages and abilities from eighteen up, and new members are always welcome. The object is to bring fun with excellence and promote the wellbeing benefits of choral singing and music to the community.

Musical Director and leading vocal coach Ian Davidson is working with the choir to develop their contemporary repertoire drawing on popular music from the 20th and 21st centuries. They have performed all over the Merseyside and Wirral areas, from the Sefton Palm House, Albert Dock and St George’s Hall to the Lever and Walker Art Galleries and both cathedrals. Their base is Blackburne House in the city and they rehearse there on Thursday evenings during term time (Sept to July).

This event is part of our LightNight 2017 event series.
