Come along to meet activist Charlie Craggs and receive a free manicure! Due to popular demand, Charlie will be back for one last Nail Transphobia pop-up as part of our Coming Out exhibition closing celebration on Saturday 4 November.

Charlie Craggs will transform our FORUM space with Nail Transphobia, a pop-up nail salon that encourages participants to become trans allies, while they receive a free manicure. Places are limited and available on a first come, first served basis.

About Charlie Craggs

Craggs is one of the most influential trans activists in the UK, whose informal chats with participants allow them to develop a better understanding of trans issues. Her approach focuses on developing a dialogue with people through interaction, deploying the manicure as a tool for social change.

Charlie was ranked #1 on the Observer's 2016 New Radicals list, a list of radical social innovators in Britain, and was also named one of the most influential and inspirational LGBT people in the UK by both the Guardian and the Independent on the Rainbow List and Pride Power List. She has starred in campaigns for Selfridges, the Victoria & Albert Museum and Stonewall, and regularly writes and speaks about trans issues for numerous publications, on the news (BBC, ITV & Sky) and even at the Houses of Parliament. She's currently working on her first book, due late 2017.

This event is part of the Coming Out exhibition.
