History in the making

History in the making exhibition
20 Mar 2017 - 14 May 2017
Free exhibition, no booking required

History in the making is a display of new work made by BA Design Students from Liverpool Hope University in response to pieces in the collections of the Walker Art Gallery.

The students’ work takes inspiration from a feather fan, jewellery made from human hair, nineteenth-century documents and letters.

The recent exhibition of Peter Farrer’s dresses, Transformation, also inspired four of the students to explore the theme of identity.

This display is located between the Café and the Craft and Design Gallery on the ground floor.
