Light Night 2012 at the Walker
Friday 18 May 2012
Gallery open 5-10pm
Join us for Light Night at the Walker Art Gallery. Take in our stunning displays of paintings, sculpture, craft and design and be inspired by our Rolf Harris exhibition.
The venue will be open until 10pm with a packed programme of performance, tours and family activities.
From 5pm - opening event for 'Rolf Harris: Can you tell what it is yet?'
Attend the opening event for this fantastic exhibition of work by the legendary artist, musician and TV personality, Rolf Harris. Find out more about the exhibition here.
In one of the smaller galleries Rolf Harris will create a large scale broad-brush painting for a live audience at 6.30pm. Due to the size of the rooms at the Walker, places for this part of the evening are extremely limited and are on a first come first served basis.
Rolf's performance will also be broadcast on screens around the gallery so everyone can get the chance to see the maestro at work.
There will be lots of events going on throughout the gallery - see below for our full list of events.
Rolf Harris book signing - Saturday 19 May 2012
Rolf will also be present at the gallery on Saturday 19 May for a book signing event from 10.30am- 12.30pm and from 1-2pm.
