Can art help us to see things differently?

This exhibition showed how artists in the past and present used transparent materials, forms and ideas about transparency to explore how we see and experience the world.

Transparency featured sculpture, painting, photography and video by artists including Wolfgang Tillmans, Camilla Løw, Emily Speed, Christine Borland and Damien Hirst. It was originally conceived by Yorkshire Sculpture Park and was displayed there in 2016. The exhibition was specially adapted for the Walker Art Gallery and features additional artworks and resources.
