Jockey silk designed by England cricketer Andrew Flintoff
7 April - 30 April 2006
Exhibition now finished
Like the Grand National this display aims to capture the nation's imagination. Stars from the world of sport, fashion, entertainment and business have each designed an exclusive jockey silk, imprinting their own style on the design.
The silks will eventually be auctioned for the IMAGINE Appeal at Alder Hey Children's Hospital. The IMAGINE appeal is a fundraising campaign that helps the hospital to continue its pioneering work, to develop facilities and to offer the very highest standards of care to young patients.
A small selection of the silks are on display in the Walker to coincide with George Stubbs: A Celebration. More celebrity jockey silks are on display at World Museum.
